Edwards presented the championship awards (published in the "Evening Post" on Saturday) and the following special prizes:— Wairarapa Boy gaining most marks (under 16).—Roderick Mac-. Mr. Edwards announced that Miss Doreen Saunders, of Palmerston North, had gained -fifteen championship points ia the' girls' elocutionary section. Unfortunately, she did not enter for all the championship classes, but as the next most successful rcompetitor had gained only .fiva, points; the championship had been awarded to Miss Saunders. ■ _ .
