.». (Special to "The Evening Post."i OKRISTCHURCH, This Day. A warning was issued to tiixi-drivcrs by the police thin morning when a ease against John M'Gillion was heard. "He was drunk, "said Sub-Inspector Fitzpatrick, "and lie engaged a taxi. The driver drove him round the town for some time, and then, finding that the man could not pa;y his fare, drove him to tho police statiov. "I want to say," the Sub-Inspector continued, "that if taxi-drivers think they arc going to drive drunks round tho town ami get tho fares l>y dropping them at, the police station they are making a big mistake." The licensed was fined 10s, in default ..twenty-four hours' imprisonment.
