ACCIDENT TO LINER
— » PROPELLER LOST AT SEA "United Service. - LONDON, sth May. Tho P. and 0. liner Cormorin, from Australia, has arrived at Plymouth. She lost her port propeller on the night of Ist May, after leaving Gibraltar. The ship trembled from stem to stern. The majority of tho passengers wero asleep, and there was no panic. The journey was resumed under the starboard engine. The vessel, though crippled, covered 300 miles a day across the Bay of Biscay. Two hundred passengers discnibarkod, including Sir Tom Bridges. Tho Cormorin is a twin-screw P. and O. liner of 15,132 tons, built in 1025, by Barclay, Curie, and Co. She has quadruple expansion engines.
