COLDER WEATHER FOLLOWING
Ihe weather during the past twentyfour hours has been fair to cloudy "eiicvally, but since- then dull and "misty conditions havo ruled, and to-day rain was reported in many parts of Ihe country; Snow has Mien at the Mount Cook .Hermitage. Tho forecast issued by the Dominion Meteorologist, Mr. T). C. .Hates, is that dull and misty weather, foggy in parts, is probable generally! The barometer is due lo fall further, biit will rise everywhere alter from 24 to % hours. Winds are variable, but westerlies are likely to predominate and back io southcrlies. More snow is likely en the higher levels in the South, 'with colder -weather generally. A teleffrsm received this moniinu from OtVne Hawkes Kay. stated that during the past twenty-four hours 1.38 indies t,l rain had fallen.
