Th'irsk (Northumberland) races when -it was announced that the Jockey Club stewards had commissioned a veterinary surgeon to take a, sample of the saliva, of Azimuth, who finished second in the Thirsk Handicap on Friday. The sample was sent to an expert for analysis. E. T. O'Sullivan, the owner and trainer of Azimuth, declares that there was no sign of anything irregular in the horse's condition. The horse had neverbeen tampered with. The Jockey Club will have to defend its action
