FEILDING, 3rd October.

At the Feilding sale to-day there was a heavy yarding of fat sheep. The supply was greater than_ the demand, and prices Butfei'ed accordingly. A big proportion of the shorn sheep was passed in, but most of those in wool were sold, although prices were well below those of last week.

Fnt Hoggets.—These made 28s Id, 28s 6d, 29s 6d, 30s 3d, 31s 4d, and 50s. Fat Woolly Ewes.—These realised 30s 3d,.315, 335, 33s 9d, 34s Bd, 35s Id, 36s 7d, 37s lld, 395, *id 19s ; shorn ditto, 25s 5d aud 25s 9d; a pen of heavy ewes was passed at 30s Id; woolly wethers at 61s, styorn ditto at 31s and 335. '■

There was a fair yarding of stors sheep, which included some good hogi gets. These sold extremely well, and a line of fairly good ewes with 100 per cent, small ra.f. lambs made 46s 4d; very fair ewe hoggets realised 33s 6d and: 35s 8d; smaller, 32s 8d; good wether - hoggets, 30s, 31s 4d, and 32s lOd; medium, 27s sd; fair b.f. hoggets, 28s 3d; small, 24s 9d; empty ewes in fair condition, 25s 7d.

There was a large entry of fat cattle. As no outside buyerp were present, the demand was not good and a large proportion was passed in, the prices offering being lower than previously. Somo prim* heavy cows made £11 15s; good bullocks, £9 19s, £10 15s, £11, an d £11 7s; medium fat cows, £5 10s, £6, und ±!6 5»

Store Cattle. —These sold fairly well, good forward Shorthorn Tiullocks making £7 12s; mixed coloured ditto, £6 13s; three-year Hereford steers, £5 15 S . Polled Angus steers, £5 lis 6d; small two-year mixed coloured steers were passed in at £3 10s; two-year Hereford and Shorthorn steers were passed at £4 7s. 6d.

There was only a small entry ot inferior dairy'cattle, and prices were easier all round, the top price for heifers being £8. '
