BIG LOSS ON STATE RAILWAYS,

BRISBANE, This Day. Queensland railways showed a deficit last _ financial year of £1,593,066, according to the Commissioner's report, tabled in the Assembly, compared with a deficit- of £1,475,192 for the previous year. Six lines showed a profit, twentyseven paid partial expenses, and fiftyeight were a dead loss.
The annual report of the Auditor-Gen-eral shows a surplus for the year of oi??7Sln -^cumulated deficits total £810,010. ■ . <
