SHORTT'S THEATRE.

"Stronger than Death" is the title of. the stirring drama at present being shown at Shortt's Theatre. The cast interpreting the various roles is a strong one, and is headed by the famous Russian artiste,'. Niizimova. The picture tells an a-bsorbing story of the romance of a young dancer in the heart of India. There are some spectacular scenes in the production, a notable one being that depicting a revolt, in which several hundred natives take part. ' Nazimoya does some of the best work of her career in the role of the dancer who loves the impoverished doctor, son of the colonel of the station to which she flees . for rest. Co-operating with the brilliant star are ,Charles Bryant and Herbert Prior. Nazimova's dance in the temple of Vishnu before the prostrate worshippers is a triumph of art and beauty. There are splendid supports, and a specially selected orchestra provides accompaniments.. No one should miss seeing' this stirring romance of the East.
