Eighty periodicals have permanently moved from New York to other oities as the result of the strike of pressmen who were expelled from the International printing trades unions and a walk-out of compositors. College.men are feeding some of the presses. ' . Mr. Roger Allen, a former president of the Publishers' Association, predicts tho perfection of a -process .with which to replace present printing engraving methods: He thinks- that new machinery wiil abolish type composition.
