MISS LOUISE MACK.
The final of the series of lectures given by Miss Louise Mack was listened to with interest by an appreciative audience in the Town Hall Concert Chamber last night. Examples of the brutality of German officials were given, and Miss Mack narrated, with telling effect, the flight of fugitive Belgians from Antwerp into Holland. Italian characteristics were described, Miss Mack having lived in Italy for six years. Gabriel d'Annunzio, poet, orator, and the hero of Fiume, was graphically brought before the audience, while other personalities, Max, the Burgomaster of Brussels, Edith Cavell, Lord Northcliffe, and others wore the subjects of interesting information. An exhibition of war pictures was also given.
