The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at Levin yards they offered a good yarding of 6heep and cattle, and tho f olowing sales were made : —Fat wethers, £2 10s; fat owes and wethers, £2 I 6s; ewes and lambs, 32a lOd to £2 183 6d; good store ewes, 30s 6d; mixed store sheep, 355; hoggets, 25s to 37s 6d; cull owes, 16s 9d; potter rams, 20s; fat cowe, £13 10s; 2-yea.r Jersey-cross steers, £4 13s 6d; 1-year do., £2 7s 6d; yearling heifers £4 4s; mixed cattle, 1 and 2 years, £.3 19s; cows in milk, £8 to £9 10s; heifers in milk, £10 15s; yearling Jersey bull, £16 ss. The Hawera branch reports as follow: —At. Opunako there' was a ,largo yarding of all classes of stock, which", met with keen demand. Quotations: —Weaner pigs, 30s; 3-year steers, £10 10s to £11 153: 2-year steers, £7 10s; Jersey bulls, 20gns to 27gns; Shorthorn and Holstein bulls, llgns to 16gns: store cows, £8 to £10 ss; light store cows, £6 to £7 15s; empty heifers, £7 3s 6d to £7 9s; yearling' heifers, £3 10s to £4 4s 6d; yearling steers, £2 16s to £4 7s;. dairy heifers, £10 to £16 15s. At Man&ia tho advertised cattle did not come forward on account of tho boisterous weather. _ Thß horses entered by tha Kaupokonui Dairy Company met with ready sale, prices ranging from £25 to £35, At Palmer-road there was a small yarding of cattlo. which sold as follows : —Fonvard cpwe, £11 10s to £11 16s; 6tore cows, £8 to £10s Is; light 6toro cows, £6 10s to £7 Is; dairy cows, £10 10s to £14 ss. At Waverley, on the same diiy, there was a moderate yarding. Prices were: —F.m. wethers, 32s 9d: empty heifers, £6.12s 6d ; store cows, £8 10s; weaner heifers, £Z- 3s; 3-year steers, £8 18s 6d to £9 4s.
