PRAISE FOR THE FRENCH TROOPS

' . PARIS, "22nd July. General Gourand, in an Army Order to the French Fourth Army after the breaking of the German offensive in the Champagne, says : "You have stopped the enemy dead just where we wished, and won the battle. I rely on you to do the same each time the enemy dares to attack.'"
