. During the summer of 1915 the Committee of Union and Progress discussed Prince Yussuf's hostility to Enver Pasha, and bluntly favoured his removal. The Committee at a later meeting at which Enver Pasha and Talaat Bey, and Prince Yussuf's doctor were present insisted en the Prince's assassination. AYhen the Turkish military situation had improved the preparations were completed. Hassin Bey, Yussuf's orderly officer, committed the crime.
