SATURDAY/S GAMES

Beautiful bowling weather prevailed on Saturday and city and suburban greens were full. The following results, mostly of friendly games, are to hand: — THORNDON v. PETONE. The pennant fixture, Thorndon v. Petone, was completed on the city green. In the game played at Petone two or three weeks ago Petone scored a big win. On this occasion Thorndon, though winning, failed to make up the deficit. The scores were as under. NEWTOWN v. MASTERTON

Four Newtown rinks spent the week end at Masterton,. and played threa games, winning one and losing two. On Friday evening, the visitors were entertained at a smoke concert, and the two clubs so. greatly enjoyed the occasion that they have decided on an annual interchange of visits.
