ENLISTMENTS IN NEW SOUTH WALES. (Received September 22, 8.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The New Zealand Rugby Union has cabled to ihe New South Wales Union its regret and sympathy at the death of its president, Major M'Manamey. So far 1341 New South Wales Rugby Union players have enlisted. Fifty have fallen in the war. AUSTRALIAN MUNITIONS PRICE OF COMPLETE SHELIi BODY (Received September 22, 9:25 a-m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. At a meeting of the Federal Munitions Committee the Minister for Defence (Senator Pearce) announced that all the States had tendered for the manufacture of munitions, with, the exceptions of South Australia and Tasmania. Private firms would be paid a flat rate of £1 Is for a complete shell body up to 31st March next. There is no limit as to the quantities they may deliver up to that date. A SHINING EXAMPLE.
