WAR PENSIONS DEALT WITH
The War .Tensions Board sat yesterday. Applications from twelve 6oldiers and sixteen dependents were dealt with, and pensions representing a total of £851 per annum granted. Of the soldiers' applications, four were adjourned for a medical report ; two ap • plicants were ordered to appear in person before next, meeting of the board ; four were declined ; one was held over to be dealt with on the expiration of the applicant's leavej and one applicant was granted the full pension of. £91 per annum. ' Pensions were granted to dependents as follows : — One at £104 per annum, one at £91, one at £841 one at £78, three at £65, three at. £52, one at £26, one at £18, and one »t £8. One application was adjourned for further information, another was considered too ineligible, namely, that of a widow whose husband had died without leaving New Zealand, And a third application was ■declined on account of the husband's earnings. .The dependents dealt with included widows, children, fathers, and mothers.
