The latest addition to the architecture of Manners-street has been made by the firm of Messrs. J. Fanning and Co.. land agents, who some time ago acquired a portion of the estate of the late Mrs. (Dr.) Grace, having a frontage of 63ft and a depth of 134 ft. Replacing tho building originally erected by the late Mr. John Flockton, opposite the New Zealander Hotel, tbe firm has erected a handsome two-story building of brick, with concrete floors, divided into five shops on the ground floor, including the firm's own offices. The shops, which are large and well lighted, ai'e surmounted by a solid cantilever verandah running their whole length, and at night the facade is lighted by five arc lamps of an aggregate capacity of 600 candle power. The upper floor, approached by a wide entrance from Man* nets-street, consists of suites of offices, laid out on commodious lines, and the building as a whole, with its clean white extorior, presents a very pleasing appeajauce
