SEVENTEEN MORE MEN ENLIST
Seventeen men enlisted at No. 5 Group Office, Buckle-street, this morning, for service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, their names and occupations being as follow : — Frank Louis Gilmour Jannay (merchant service officer), William Copeland (Civil servant), Herbert Bracken Murphy (labourer), Thomas M'Donald (hose cutter), Thomas Alexander Macdonald (Newtown), George Riddall M'Kay (grocer's assistant), Frank Bray (produce merchant), William Trenton Doughty (traveller), John Brackenridge (telegraph clerk), Jacob Neil Tucker (clerk), Albert Edward Robson (cook), Ernest Hunter (dealer), Lawrence Douglas Bourk'e (Civil servant), Frank Kettlewell (dairyman), Leonard John Jones (licensed porter), Charles John Kent (fireman), Richard Ambler (bushraan). In order to facilitate recruiting the Buckle-street office has now been placed on the telephone, the number beine 2188. X
