NEW ZEALANDERS IN ACTION FOURTEEN MORE CASUALTIES TWO MEN DIE OF WOUNDS. THREE OFFICERS WOUNDED. The fifteenth casualty list of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force operating in the Dardanelles was issued by the Defence Department at 9 o'clock last evening, containing the names of two men died of wounds (previously reported wounded) and eleven men wounded. List No. 15a was furnished this morning, giving the names of three officers wounded. These bring the total casualties reported to the New Zealand Force to date to 730, being made up of 40 officers and men killed in action and died of wounds, one officer wounded and missing, one officer missing, and 688 officers and men' wounded. Dennis, 12th Australian Infantry (next-of-kin; William Dennis, Huntly/ father). WOUNDED OFFICERS SOME PERSONAL SKETCHES. Major E. Harrowell, of the Auckland Infantry Battalion, who is reported to have been wounded, is a well-known New Zealand officer. He is a single man, 48 years of age, and served with both the Ist and 7th New Zealand contingents in South Africa. His war services are recorded in the Army List as follow :— " South African War, 18991902.—Relief of Kimberley. Operations in the Orange Free State, February to May, 1900, including operations at Paardeberg (17th to 26th February) ; actions at Poplar Grove, Dreifontein, Houtnek (Thoba Mountain), Vet River (sth and 6th May), and Zand River. Operations in the Transvaal in May and June, 1900, including actions near Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Diamond Hill (11th and 12th June). Operations in the Transvaal east of Pretoria, July to October, 1900. Operations in the Trahsvaal west of Pretoria. July to October, 1900. Operations in Cape Colony south of Orange River, November 1899 to Febmary 1900, including actions at Colesberg (Ist January to 7th February). Operations in the Transvaal, May to July, 1901, August to December, 1901. and April to May, 1902. Operations in the Orange River Colony, July to August, 1901, and December, 1901, to April, 1902. Queen's medal with five clasps. King's medal with two clasps." He served with the Ist Contingent as a sergeant and in the 7th Contingent as a captain. Upon < his return to New Zealand he identified himself with the Volunteer force in Auckland, and then took command of the Fijian Police. Later he was appointed officer commanding the military forces at New Caledonia, and was on furlough in New Zealand when the preseat " war broke out. He then enlisted in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, being appointed major in the Auckland Infantry Battalion. Lieut. R. Lee of the Wellington Infantry Battalion, who is reported as wounded, was born at PahiatUa in 1891, and last resided in Masterton, where he was an architectural draughtsman by occupation. He is a single man, and belonged to the 17th (Ruahine) Regiment, in which he was a 2nd Lieutenant. Lieut. E. T. Rowlings, NIZ.S.C, Wellington Infantry Battalion, left New Zealand as a lieutenant in B Company, 3rd Reinforcements. He is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Australia, and is twenty-one years of age-
