WEATHER PROSPECTS
The weather broke beautifully fine again this morning, and except for a brief interval about noon the sun ehone brightly all day. Wellington has had a remarkably long spell free from heavy rain, and the total rainfall for this month hae not yet reached one inch. The temporarily unsettled conditions of yesterday seem to have cleared for the time being, and the forecast is for fair to cloudy weather, with showers in tho southernmost districts. A veTy cold night is probable, and moderate southerly -winds are likely to rule locally.
