AN AVIATOR'S OFFER
THE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE.
It is understood that some difficulty has arisen in regard to the offer by Mr. J. W. H. Scotland, the young New Zealand aviator, to place hi* service* aud his aeroplane at the disposal oi tins Expeditionary Force. This ie said to bo due to the fact that no mention ot' aeroplanes and airmen was made in the instructions of the Imperial Govern* ment's accompanying its acceptance of New Zealand's offer of araistanoo. In answer to a question, the Hon. J. Allen said that the Britannia aeroplane given by the Standard of Empire, and flown by the ln,to Gustav Hainol from Dover to Cologne and later in N©w Zealand, round Auckland, by Mr. J. 0. Hammond, would not be cent Home> with the Expeditionary EV»rce. "They have plenty there," ho said, "without us eluding any. Besides, it may come in more useful for the protection of New Zealand.
