Remuera arrived in the stream at 0 o'clock last night, and after pratique had been granted berthed at the Queen's Wharf at half-past 0 o'clock this morning. The Remuera left London on the 10th July, and experienced fine weather with light winds to arrival at Teneriffe on the 15th. After replenish-, ing her bunkers, the vessel sailed again at 6 a.m the following day. Exceptionally fine ■weather was experienced throughout the pas» sage to Capetown, the weather through the tropics being phenomenally cool. The pas« sage from Capetown, which was left on the morning of the 31st July, was marked by unsettled weather, strong north-west and southwest gales, with very heavy seae, being experienced until within 300 miles of the Tasmanlan coast Daily communication by wireless was maintained with the steamers Kaikoura andj Port Lincoln between Capetown and Hobart. Hob»rt was reached on the 19th, nnd departure taken again on the following evening, and the vessel arrived at Wellington as stated, after experiencing a fine passage with light variable winds und smooth sea. She is due at the latter port on Thursday, and after landing a part cargo there comes on to Wellington for a similar purpose, being due here about Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. LIMERICK COMING. From Sydney direct the steamer Limerick ; arrived at Wellington this morning. The vessel cleared the New South Wales port on Wednesday, and has come to join the fleet of Admiralty transports, ' COMING FROM SYDNEY. j This week's direct boat from Sydney is the Manuka, due in port to-morrow morning. According to advice received at the local office of the Union Company the vessel-left the New South Wales port at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and is bringing 71 saloon and 47 steerage passengers, and 1652 tons of general cargo, including 701 tons of fruit, for New Zealand. The Manuka will Eail from Wellington on Thursday for Xyttelton. leaving there on the return trip to Wellington on Friday. Arriving here on Saturday morning, she will sail at 3 p.m. for Sydney., Newcastle, and Melbourne. . RANGATIRA AT SYDNEY. j Cabled advice from Sydney states that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's Rangatira arrived there on Saturday last from Liverpool. MATATUA LEAVES BEAUTY POINT. 1 Continuing her voyage from London to Port Chalmers and Lyttelton the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's liner Matatua sailed from Beauty Point (Tasmania) on Saturday last. She is due at Dunedin on Thursday. There will be no steamer from Dunedin on Friday next in the Monowai's time-table run northwards, and •in order to cope with tho cargo traffic the Union Company has arranged for the Rosamond to leave Gisborne for Wellingtonxdirect to-morrow. She will arrive here on Friday, and sail the same day for Napier and Gisborne inner harbours and Auckland. The Arahura arrived at Westport at 2 o'clock this morning, and was expected to Jeave for Nelson at 10 a.m. Thence she proceeds to Picton, and is due here to-morrow night. The Mapourika, arriving from New Plymouth to-day, is to sail to-morrow for New Plymouth and Westport. The Taviuni left Dunedin early this morning for Wellington, via. Oamaru, Ttmaru, and Lyttelton. She is due here on Thursday, when she will receive cargo for Westport and Greymouth.
