KARORI FLOWER SHOW
The flower show in aid of the funds of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Karori, was opened at 3 o'clock this afternoon by Mr. C. Cathie, Mayor of Karori, in the Parochial Hall. The show, though not a •largo one, is varied, and everything is well arranged. One striking feature is a collection of pot plants in the professional claes by Mr. M'Lachlan, which gained first prize. Others in the professional class who havo fine exhibits are Mr. Atkin and Mr. Fern. Tho former has also a fine collection of vegetables, for which ho secured first prize. Messrs. Pettereon Bros., '•New.toyra, , ha.vo for exhibition only, a fine collection of" blooms, as also an excellent exhibit of vegetables. Tho cut flowers are very fine, Miss Wickmaai taking first prize. Miss Price was awarded fi*3t prize, for cakes, etc. Miss Coone* judged- the children a aiid adult classes in flowers, ant] Mr. W. Jay tKo professional classes, whilo Mrs. Cathie judged tho home produce. Mr; S. W. Adams, hon. sec., had all arrangements well in hand.
