SIX PERSONS KILLED
THIRTEEN INJURED ACCIDENT AT A MOTOR-CYCLE MEETING COMPETITOR PLUNGES INTO THE CEOWD.
By Telegraph.— Presa Association.— Copyright. (Received September 10, 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, 9th September. At Newark, New Jersey, Eddie Hasha, a competitor, plunged over the track railings during a motor-cycle race and dashed into the spectators, of whom six were killed and thirteen injured. Johnny Albright, a motor-cyclist, and a competitor at the meeting, was falally injured. Hasha was flung 50ft in the air when his cycle fell over the railings. Parts of the cycle were flung off by contact with the railings. One sprocket struck a lad, killing him. A panic broke out amongst the crowd, several of whom were bady injured through being trampled on. Hasha held several world's cycling records.
