MR. H. 0. HULL RESIGNS. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received May 20, 9 a.m.) CAPETOWN, 19th May. The Hon. H. C. Hull has resigned from the Union Ministry owing to differences with his colleagues regarding a railway policy. [Mr. Hull is a solicitor. He was one of the members of the Reform Committee, and in consequence of the Jameson Raid was sentenced to two years' imprisonment and fined £2000. He served in the South African Light Horse, and took part in the relief of Wepener. He was a member of the Transvaal Legislative Council, in which he prominently opposed the introduction of Chinese labour. When the Transvaal was granted Responsible Government, ho took office as- Treasurer under General Botha. He joined the first Union Cabinet as Minister of Finance.]
