SUPREME COURT.
AUCKLAND, 18th May. At the Supremo Court, Mr. Justice Edwards sentenced Edward Sutherland and John William Lees, for breaking and entering and theft at Taumarunui, to one year*; unpritsonment on each charge, the sentences to bo concurrent. James Cronin, for breaking and entering iind theft received a sentence of throe years' imprisonment, and was declared an habitual criminal. William Black, for forging and uttering, two charges, was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment on each charge, sentences to be concurrent. Robert Iliomas, for .receiving stolen property at the Thames, was admitted to three years' probation. James Brown, breaking and entering and theft, wae sent to gaol for one year; John Wemiger, for assault with intent, for five years; and Thomas Dall, theft at Gisborne, was admitted to probation for two years.
