--Taking the returns aa telegraphed last night, the following is an analysis of tho aggregate votes cast throughout Ne\v Zealand :—: — Fiist Ballot. Second Ballot. Opposition 157,832 68,698 Government 182,415 70,106 Labour ... 44,883 22,028 Independent 69,567 30,693 Socialist ... 4,894 Prohibition 597 460,188 191,525 In the second ballot figures tho votes cast for Mr. Robertson (Socialist) have been included in the Labour total.
