T^TEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, 1908. On 23rd, 24th, and 26th December, and Ist and 2nd January, Extra Mail trains will run between Tc Aro and Napier as follows: — I UP.— Wellington dep. 7.22 a.m. DOWN.— Napier dep. 7.45 a.m. From 21st Decomber to 4th January, inclusivo (except Christmas Day aud Sundays), Extra Mail trains will run between Wellington (Manawatu) and Wanganui as follows: — UP.— Wellington dep. 8.20 a.m. DOWN.— Wanganui dop. 12.45 p.m., Palmerston North dep. 4.12. I The Ordinary UP Wellington-New PlyI mouth Mail train, on dates the Extra Up Mail train runs, will make usual stops between Wellington and Palmerston North (except 26th December and Ist January, sco below), but it will not tako passengers for any station North of Palmerston North up to Wangauui inclusive, nor for stations on Main Trunk Line, or from Wellington to stations South of Waikanae. Such passengers will require to travel by the Extra Up Mail. On above dates the Ordinary Down New Plymouth-Wellington Mail train will not take passengers from stationa Wanganui to Feilding, inclusive, except from Main Trunk Line, and between Longburn and Wellington will stop for passengers only at Otaki, Paekakariki, and Johnsonville. Passengers for other stationa between Longburn and Wellington will require to change at Palmerston North into Extra Down Mail train. On 24th DECEMBER additional passenger trains will run as follows : — FOR NAPlEß.— Wellington dep. 11.45 p.m. This train will stop between Wellington and Lower Hutt to tako up passengers for North of Lower Hutt only. North of Lower Hutt it will 6top at alt stations if required. FOR TE AitO.— Napier dep. 11.30 p.m. This train will stop, if required, at all stations. FOR WANGANUl.— Wellington dep. 11.20 p.m. This liain will not stop, between Wellington and Paekakariki, but north of there stops whero required, except Makerua and Linton. This train connects at Marton with train for Taihape, and at Aramoho with Wanganui River Excursion. FOR WELLINGTON.— Wanganui dep. 11.30 p.m., IMmerslon 3.55 a.m. on 25th. This train, after leaving Palmerston, will stop only at Longburn, Shannon, Levin, Otaki, and Paekakariki, and south of Paekakariki at all stations if required. TE ARO-WOODVn,LE. On 24th DECEMBER an extra train for Greytown and Masterton, stopping, if required, at all stations for passengers, will run as follows: — Wellington dep. 3.15 p.m. Tho 9.20 p.m. and 10.29 p.m. Lower Hutt-Te Aro trains will ruu as on Saturdays. The 10.25 p.m. and 11.20 p.m. Te AroLower Hutt trains will run as on Saturdays. ON 25th DECEMBER (CHRISTMAS DAY)— With the exception of tho 8.2 a.m. Te-Aro-Napier and 8.45 a.m. Napier-To Aro Mail trains, the 7.0 a.m. train Masterton. to Te Aro, the 3.45 p.m. train Te Aro to Masterton, tho 4.45 a.m. train Wellington to Woodville, and the 2.15 p.m. train Woodvillo to Wellington, which will run as usual, the ordinary time-table will be suspended. I 6.0 a.m., Masterton 8.55, Greytown 9.30 FOR WELLINGTON AND TE ARO.— Woodvillo den. 3.15 p.m., Masterton 5.5 and 6.25 p.m., Greytown 5.45, 7.20, Fcatherston 6.25, 7.55. The 3.15 p.m. from Woodville runs to Wellington only. Tho Up Mail trains (Te Aro dep. 7.15 and 8.2 a.m.) WILL NOT TAKE PASSENGERS TO UPPER HUTT. The Down Mail trains (Upper Hutt dep 5.30 and 6.21 p.m.) WILL NOT TAKE PASSENGERS FROM UPPER HUTT For Suburban trains see handbills. On 26th DECEMBER and Ist JANUARY, the Maidstono Park Picnic Grounds at Upper Hutt will bo open to the public holding Railway Tickets to Upper Hutt. Admission— Adults 3d; Children, halfprice. Tickets obtainable afc entrance to Grounds. WELLINGTON-FOXTON-PALMER-STON NORTH. ON 24th DECEMBER— In addition to the Ordinary Timetable, trains and tho Extra Mail trains between Wellington and Wanganui, the following trains will run -. — ' FOR PLIMMERTON.— WeIIington dep. I 3.10 and 10.40 p.m., slopping at all stai tions as required for passengers. Passengers for all local stations, including Plimmerton, must travel by theso trains. Passengers from any station between Ngaio and Paremata who aro going boyond Paekakariki must proceed to Plimmorton by the 3.10 or 10.40 p.m. trains, and join tho through train there. NOTE.— Tho 7.50 a.m. Ordinary UP Mail train will stop only at Khandaliah, Johnsonville, Porirua, Paelcakariki, Waikanae, Otaki, Levin, Shannon, Tokomaru, and Longburn for passengers. THIS TRAIN WILL ONLY TAKE THROUGH PASSENGERS FOR STATIONS NORTH OF WANGANUI AND THE NAPIER SECTION. The 8.20 a.m. Extra Up Mail train will stop only at Johnsonville, Porirua, Plimmerton, Paekakariki, Waikanae, Levin, Shannon, and Longburn for passengers. The 3.37 p.m. Ordinary Down Mail train will stop only at Lonsrburn, Otaki, Paekakariki, and Johnsonville 1 for passengers. PASSENGERS FOR OTHER STATIONS AT WHICH THIS TRAIN USUALLY STOPS MUST CHANGE AT PALMERSTON NORTH AND WAIT FOR THE 4.12 p.m. Extra DOWN MAIL TRAIN.
