WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF £46,000. To bo floated locally (or otherwise). by the issuo of Debentures under the provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "Tho Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," "The Tramways Act, 1908," and all oilier powers (if any) enabling tho Council in that behalf. THE Council of the City of Wellington hereby gives public notice that t>uch Council pioposes to borrow (by way of Special Loan within the meaning of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," and its amendments) tho pum of £46,000, to be expended on the undertaking hereundor set forth:— - UNDERTAKING. Additions to Tramway Rolling Stock, Power House Plant, Purchase of Island Bay Feeder Cable, Erection of Thorndon Pay-in Office and Purchase of of Land, Ono Annual Payment to the Miramar Borough Council on account of Purehaso of Tramway wiihin City Boundary, Widening Corner of Manners and Cuba streets, Lyell Bay Tramway Extension, Purchase of Land for Car Shed, Kilbirnie, and Building thereon, Purchase of Land at Thorndon and Building thereon, Street Widening ; and Electric Lighting — Station Buildings and Additions, New Turbo Set and Accessories, Purchase of Meters, Transformers, Extension of Mains, New Connections and Suburban Lighting Extensions £46,000 Tho Council proposes to pledge the revenues of the Tramway and Electric Light undertakings of the Corporation as security for the said Loan of £46,000 and tho Interest and Sinking Fund (if any) thereon. ' It is proposed that tho whole of the Loan shall bo repayable at the expiration I of a term of 25 years, computed from the Ist day of April, 1909.
