|ly Telegraph. -Press Association. — Copyriuht(Received December 23, 9.35 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The racehorse Peru has been sold for two thousand guineas. He will go to India. Peru is a four-year-old, by Grafton — Silver Coin. As a two-year-old he ran ten times, winning .two events, and gaining a place in four others. Last season he won the St. Helier Stakes at the V.A.T.C..meeting,ibeating Tulkerco and Apologue; tho Australian Cup, Tulkeroo being second and Enchanted, States third ; and the Champion Stakes, beating Apologue and Proceedei* in the places. He was secojkl in the Victorian < Derby and SV Leger,. and third in the A.J.C. Derby, besides figuring prominently in other races.
