ENTERTAINMENTS."
MR. J. C. WILLIAMSON'S COMPANY. Last evening a numerous and cheerful audience said farewell to the Williamson Musical Comedy Company. The piece was "Three Little Maids," and a fair performance was given ; the orphe&tra in particular improving. To every lady her night of success ; and last night Miss, Baxber, always one of the most useful members of the company, was in high vein. x "Three Little Maids" is another of George Edwardes 1 factory plays, designed for particular London actor* and a particular London audience. Th© music, with rare traces of distinction; is tolerable;/ the book is pcor ; the songs dull. Mi-. Clifton never quite assimilated the ,part of Lord, Cheyne ; and his beat role of tho season remains that' 'of Oroya Brown in "Lady Madcap." There he was magnetic : the bimplcst sentence seemed to hold a chuckle-~and this interchange of energy and sympathy beWeen actor and audience, as David Belaoco says, is all in all. Performances varied throughout the season ; but the company's work — generally intelligent, painstaking, and progressive — did credit to Mr. Henry Bracy, that pa?it master in stage management. No less praise can be given to the musical diT-action 6f Mr. Alfred Moulton, whose orchestra was often exceptionally fine. The company's tour is under the management of Mr. Richard Stewart, who has done everything pofsible for the convenience of the public and will presently be able to do more when the lea.se of the Opera House to Mr. Williamson is confirmed. Tho company will return at Easter. THE ROYAL PICTURES. Tho management of the above picture company is said to be leaving nothing undone to enable it to present its moving pictures in the best style. An electric motor and dynamo have been installed, which will give a powerful 'electric current, thus enabling a perfect stereoscopic picture to be obtained. A special iron operating box is beim; erected, so as to comply with the city regulations, and' His Majesty's Theatre, in Courtenay-place, where the company's season opens on Monday night, is being thoroughly renovated and put in order. Constant changes of programme will be a feahirs of the company's season. Particulars -as to prices and box plan are advertised elsewhere. ¥ULLER\S ENTERTAINERS.
