The House mot at 2.30 p.m. It was reported that at the conference on the Legislative Council's amendments in tho Bills of Exchange Act Amendment Bill it had been arranged to amend the Bill by providing that no document shall . bo destroyed prior to three months after tho passing of the Actj or at any' time niter demand ,has been mado for ' the delivery of a. document. Tho report of the conference was agreed to. OTHER BILLS. ' An amendment to the National Endowment Bill was brought down by. Governor's Message eliminating from the schedule an area of about 200 acres 'in Hawkes Bay which is at present occupied hy ) natives. A technical amendment to the Hutt Park Bill, bunging the Borough of Eastbourne- into the trusteeship, was also brought down by Governor's Message, and agreed to. (Left sitting.)
