ALLEGED FALSE STATEMENT.
[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] INVERCARGILL, 20th Sept. Charles August Thomson, of Wain™ mv, pleaded guilty to-day, and was com initted to the Supremo Court for sentence f6r, in October, 1904, baking a false statement to the Registrar regarding the bivtt of a child, which he had stated to b( his legitimate offspring ; also giving 1 false name as that of the mother. Thomson's wife has been in the asylum foi' some years, and the mother of the infanj is a single woman.
