At a mooting of the Opposition sup porters in tho Patea electorate, hold at Stratford this afternoon, delegates representing 1734 out ot 2261 votes cast in the Opposition interest at lust general election, selected Mr. John B. Hino, of Toko, as Opposition candidate at next election. ELTHAM, This Day. At the meeting of delegates at Stratford yesterday, the Eltham delegates did not vote for the reason that tne selection was considered to be premature. Mr. James Bocldie, Provincial President ot the Farmers' Union, nnnounoo.l that, tho result will nob affect in the slightost degree his intention to contest the scat in tUfl Opposition interests.
