THE DOCTOES TROUBLE IN THE MASTEItTON HOSPITAL. [by telegraph— own correspondent.] Masterton, This Day. The annual report of the Masterton Hospital, adopted at yesterday's meeting: oE the Trustees, shows that the expenditure last year exceeded the income by about £200, aud that application has had to be made to the local bodies for funds to make good the deficiency. Further accommodation 13 ; required at the Hospital, and the finances I will require to be placed on a better footii^g. Seventy-nine patients were admitted during the year, the average daily cost per patient being 7s. 9d. A good deal of friction has existed of late over the Honorary Surgeon question at the hospital, certain medical men insisting on being notiGed of any major operation about to take place, and Dr. Hoskiui*, the medical officer of the institution, omitting to call certain of the staff in.
