The Provisional Committee formed to promote the No. 5. Co-operative Building Society of Wellington, met this week, and prepared to hand over the results of their work to the directors elected to constitute the Society's first Board. It was reported that application fees on more than 1000 shares had boon receiiid, aud that the Society would commence business on the 28th iust. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered to Mr. Killb for leading the committee on to such an excellent result. An advertisement as to the commencement of business appears in another column.
