THE HOOLEY INSOLVENCY.
« HIS DEALINGS WITH. NEWSPAPER HARPIES. [press association.] London, 10th June. Mr. E. T. Hooley, the ex-millionaire, now bankrupt, attributes his failure to tho blackmailing of syndicates and newspapers, who absorbed the profits of his ventures. He alleges that he paid one newspaper £40,000 for a single article, and £100,000 for law court costs. The claims against his esltite amount to £500,000. (Received June 11, 9.45 a.m.) London. 10th June. Mr. Hooley estimates that his estate will show a suplus of £400,000.
