SENTENCED TO DEATH AS A SPY. THE CONSUL BRINGS*ABOUT HIS RELEASE. (Received April 27, 0.20 p.m.) New York, 26th April. Captain Milburn, of the British steamer Myrtle Deau, was sentenced to death at
Havana on a charge of being an American spy. He dared the Spaniards to shoot him, declaring that the city would be immediately, destroyed. Eventually Captain Milburn was released on the intervention of the British Consul. London, 26th April. The Spanish torpedo boat Audaz, after a long detention for repairs, has left Queenstown, Ireland.
