<> SHERIDAN SENTENCED TO DEATH. | PRESS ASSOCIATION.! (Received November 21, 11 a.m.) Sydney, This Dat. Tho trial of Thomas Meredith theridan, who described himself aa President of the " British Medical Institute," and who was arrested on tho charge of having murdered JoEsie Nieholl, a farmer's daughter, on whom an illegal operation waa performed towards the oud of Anguet last, has just concluded. The affair caused a tremendous ecneation at the time, the body of the unfortunate girl being found in a pacLing-cas? near the wateraide, with tho abdomen horribly mutilated. Sheridan has been convicted and sentenced to death. Sea well, carotaker of the " Institute,'" haa been convicted of being an a opssory after the fact, and remanded for Bcntence.
