Tainf. and Co. report on their weekly liorao sale on Saturday :— There was a very good entry of horses fn our yards, bnt only a few draughts, for which there yns a food demand for anything approaching a good stamp. We sold spring-cart, UU; sulky, £10 10s j s.m. harness, £4 to £5 spriiiK-cart harness, £2 10s. Townseud asd Paul's weekly report of the Itorse market is as follows :— A full attendance and large entry of all classes of horses, although Iko quality in ninny instances w.\s uot of tlio highest character. The draft of nino unbroken backs and Tory light harness sorts from Hastings wore disposed of I rom £3 to £5 ss; a well-put-up troy gelding, broken to harness, brought £8 Jss, and a useful liaok £5. Tho pair of brown cab horses did not reach owner's resorre, and were passed in at £30 ; the heavy draughts also remain unsoldi buyers' and vendors' views of value not being ia accord. Wo sold a nnuibor of aged and low-conditioned animals at from £2 to £i. Good youug express and spring-dray stamps are still enquired for and saleable at £14 to £17, and heavy draughts, young and flt for work, would realise from £22 to £28. The prospects are generally good for better prices.
