Reefton Mining Exchange. [By Telegraph.] (SPECIAL TO THE EVENING POST.)
Reepton, This Day. The Stook Exchange roport for the wook is as follows :— The battory yields for the week total 1293 ouncos of amalgam, representing tho top plates at the Globe, Progress, Alpine, No. 2 Dark, Inkennan, and Cumberland. In addition to these the Golden Lead and Inglowood are also crushing. No fresh developments in mining matters are reported, and tbo heolthy condition of the minos at the produotivo stage, and the encouraging and promising appearance affecting those prospecting, pretty well describe tho position. The sharo market rcmaiiiß with no very material alteration, and valuow havo boon mainly stationary for tbe wcok. Bi? River havo a littlo enquiry at slightly better than last week's figures. Cumberland remain tho same, business in these .shares being limited, although thoy aro firmly hold for a further riso. Tho crushing continues good, and tho lower workings are extending towards tho reef. Globo aro a shade easier. Business is limited in regard to this mino, which, however, commands the same rofjular output and steady averago. No. 2 Dark and Progress keep about former quotations. Tho latter shares havo a better feeling howover, and witli the improved returns of late, should see bnsinosß very soon. Ruhsolls are always saleable at low rutoH, and the samo may bo said for Drakes. United Alpmo are likoly to remain at former rates, and parcels aro seldom offered. A number of other linos romain unaffected.
