The receipts were— From trade societies' contributions, .£28,662; from English Unions, 44060; frqm the publio, £4550; total, .£37,272. The expenditure amounted to .£37,034. The total cost of administration was JGIOBI. The principal contributions were— Shearers' Union, .£1700 ; Engineers' Booiety, £1000 ; Gas Stokers' Union, £1600; Iron Moulders' Union, £5800 ; Locomotive Engineers and Firemen, £2000; Railway Association, £1200 ; and Printers' Association. £2000.
