The Committee recommend that i the request be acceded to on condition that t 60 days' discount is allowed at Bank rate of - interest. 2. Be Macarthy's claim for injury 3 to his property (late Kebbell's) on the Te Aro 3 foreshore : That the Mayor has by request > of the Committee been in communication , with Mr. Macartby on this matter, and that; l- Mr. Macartby has expressed his willingness 9 to accept £400 in foil of all olaim under tbis 1 head, in lieu of the Corporation filling up f and raising the mill and building, and - further that he is willing to take the above . amount in land valued at £20 p?r foot. This is independent of any foreshore rights whioh 9 Mr. Macarthy may possess. The Committee „ recommend that this offer be accepted." On the motion of the Mayor, seconded by Connt cillor Allen, the report was adopted. It was decided to serve legal notice on Mr. A. P.
