COURT OF APPEAL.
+ Aftor we wont to proas yesterday, Mr. Stout commenced his address in the case of Maitland v. Mervyn, and had not finished at tho adjournment. On tho opening of the Court this morning the learned gentleman rosnmod his argument, and on finishing he was followed by Mr. Chapman, who replied. The Court reserved judgment. The case of Proudfoot and another v. Turabull was then proceeded with. The question involved ia the validity of an award, and the case in now going on. Messrs. Stont and Haggit are appearing for the appellants, and Messrs. Denniston and Kettle for the respondents. Tho sitting Judges are the Chief Justice and Justices Williams, Riohmond, and Gillies.
