+ fßr Telegraph. | [UNITED PKKSB ASSOCIATION.] Dunkdin, Ist Jane. The Committee of the Chamber of Corn* merce have, after mil' h deliberation, carried a resolution for presentation to the annnil meeting of the Chamber, to ba held on the 9th June, recommending, in view of the Board's present position, that it is inexpedient that any more money should, for the present, be spent on the harbour works except tfae sum of £100,000, to be expended at the rate of -£33,000 per annum ; the said money to be applied chiefly in keeping the hopper dredge at work on the bar and in the lower harbour. The secretary to the Harbour Board Bent in a statement to the Cham* ber, Bhowing that within the next three years the Board calculate- upon an additional annual revenue of .£17,000 from the leasing of reserves.
