(Before Messrs. C. C. Graham aud T. KebbeU, J.P.'s.) drun,k. Maggio Webster was charged with being drank. Sergeant Anderson said that the wom<»n was a nuisance to the neighborhood in which she lived, and had been repeatedly before the Court. She was remanded for a week. OBSCENC LANGUAG*. Lizzie Harris, who appeared with a very bad black eye, was charged with using obscene language in a public place. Be* peated convictions were proved against the prisoner, and she was fined JBS with one month's imprisonment in default. The fine was not paid, and Bhe went to gaol. WIFE BBATINOi James Kerr was charged with having assaulted his wife Mary Kerr. Complainant stated that the prisoner was very drunk on the occasion when he kicked, and struck her in a brutal manner. Mr. W. N. Luxford corroborated her statement, and said that he heard screams of murder in the house where the prisoner lived, and on going in he saw the prisoner standing over the complainant as though he had been beating her. Sergeant Anderson said that prisoner had been convicted on former occasions of the same offence.
