MEETINGS OF CREDITORS.
+. J. H. Bayliss has called a meeting of his creditors for Tuesday next, at Messrs. Brandon's office, at 12.80 p.m. A meeting of creditors in the estate of tames ' Joseph Smith, stationer, of Mastorton, was held this morning for the purpose of assenting 1 ' to the deed of assignment. Mr. David Clark ,<- was voted to the chair. The statement of . ¦ assets and liabilities showed about £150 of the former, against £336 of the latter. After some conversation the deedj assigning th» estate to Mr. David Clark as trustee was > assented to. A meeting of creditors in the estate of Nicholas Marchant, Civil Engineer, was held to-day for the same purpose as ihe preceding' meeting. The deed conveyed the estate to James ftl'Dowell for the benefit of the creditors. The resolution assenting to the deed was formally passed.
