The direotors of the Broken Hill Proprietary mine report that the fire in Block 11 has not interfered with the working as much as was anticipated. They therefore will pay a shilling bonus per share along with the dividend. The Aoting-Governor has confirmed the appointment of bir G. R Dibbs as a managing trustee of the New South Wales Saving Bsnk. ■« Mblbouenk, September 24. Emanuel Abrahams has received an additional six months' imprisonment foe malingering.
Adklaidb, September 24. Fair rain has fallen over several important agricultural distriots. The crops are saved for the present, and the outlook is considerably brighter.
