London, Maroh 29. Mr T. Burt, M.P., secretary of the Northumberland Miners' Association, has appealed to the Northumberland miners to support the Durham miners.
The engineers in South Wales and Monmouthshire have given notice of their intention to go out on strike in order to resist a proposed reduction in their wages. Their action will involve 70,000 miners. It is rumored that the police attribute the "Ripper" murders to a convict now in Portland Gaol for obtaining money from a woman by threats.

The Archbishop of Paris prohibits the discussion of politics by the clergy with Socialists. Ravaohal, in an interview with a representative of the Gaulois, expressed his delight at the outrages, and promised more. The police have planned an extensive capture of Anarchists.

During a dispute which occurred in a ohurch in Georgia a negro bishop was shot dead m the pulpit. The Committee of Ways and Means propose to reduce, and eventually abolish, the duties on tin.
