♦ NEXT CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING.' The council .of the New Zealand Amateur At.hlotic Association met yesterday to consider where the New Zealand chirm-, ipionships should be held this season. There were present!: Messrs; A. Dnvies (president), and C. E. Bridge, representing Auckland; Mr. D. Leslie, representing Wellington; Messrs. J. C. Cusack and H. Murray, representing Otago; Messrs. ■L. Brinkman and M. Burnett, representing Canterbury. ~.,,,, The Canterbury Contre asked that One championship meeting should bq held in 'Christehurch, and the Auckland centre that -it should be held at . Auckland. When-the mutter went to a vote four votes were cast for i Auckland and four for Christehurch. Mr. Leslie held .a proxy for Mr. B. A. Guise. The chair- , man's casting vote turned the scale in favour of the northern city.
